There are two things that are always on my desk when I’m in the office, and in my brief case when I’m traveling: my laptop computer and a copy of the 2014 Private Duty Benchmarking Study from Home Care Pulse.  The benchmarking study report is one of the most valuable resources in our industry and I use my copy every day.

If you are serious about growing your business, and if you are a serious student of the home care industry, then you too will want to have a copy of the report.  But the benchmarking study is only as good as the data it contains.

Over the past five years, over 500 home care companies have participated in this study each year by contributing data.  As a result, we have access to the most comprehensive information about our industry that is available. We need your input.

I’m sending you a personal plea to ask you to take some time to download the Preparation Worksheet.  Then go into your company records for 2014 and pull out the data.  Upload the data to the website between February 1st and February 28th, 2015.  And pre-order a copy of the final report.

Some of you are saying, “It’s too much work to pull all of that data together.”  It is a lot of work, but it is work you should be doing regularly as the owner of any business.  If you don’t know how your business is doing on a regular basis, then you are a boat adrift on an ocean filled with sharks who want to eat you for lunch.

Do yourself a favor, and do a big service for our industry. Make the time to Prepare, and then Submit Your Data, for the 2015 Private Duty Benchmarking Study from Home Care Pulse.
