A Quick Way to Learn About Physicians in Your Local Market

Looking for ways to learn more about the physicians in your local market who may be referral sources for private pay home care?

You can learn a lot online by going to the Physician Compare web site at www.medicare.gov.  This site
allows you to put in your zip code, or a zip code for a target geography, and find all of the physicians by medical specialty.  The site tells you where they went to medical school, where they did their residency, and the groups with which they are affiliated.

In 2014 the site will also provide some basic quality data for each physician listed.

Once you have the basic information about the physician, you can learn even more with a google search.

Learn About Home Health Agencies at Home Health Compare

Once you have mastered using Physician Compare to learn more about physicians in your local marketplace, you can do the same thing for home health agencies using Home Health Compare.  This site lists all of the Medicare Certified Home Health Agencies, and gives you detailed data on quality outcomes.  This can be very valuable in making contact and building relationships with individuals within the home health agency who may refer clients to your home care company.

Take a look at these two web sites.  Use them for developing your list of high potential prospects.  Then let us know how this helped you.
