Over 6,000 participate in Leading Home Care Network

Leading Home Care Network, our discussion group on LinkedIn has just passed 6,000 members. This is very exciting as we reach critical mass in the number of home care professionals and leaders who are members of our group and participating in our discussions.

The Leading Home Care Network is a closed group, which means that we must review each request to join and determine if the person requesting membership actually works in home care. The group is limited to current employees of a home health agency, hospice, or private duty home care company.  We also have members who are Resource Partners of Leading Home Care.  These are companies that provide products and services to the home care industry, and that we recommend.

We do not allow into the group any head hunters, outside consultants, or vendors who are not on our approved Resource Partner list.  We want this group to be a discussion forum for home care leaders who want to reach out to other home care leaders.  It’s also a place for you to share what you are doing in your company that is working for you.

Some of the recent topics that have generated the most discussion are:

  • What questions do you feel are best when conducting an interview?
  • Who do you use for your employee background checks?
  • How do you handle a client requesting caregiver travel?

There are also some great examples of home care leadership sharing insights that will be of value to other home care leaders.

  • How do you decided when to put a loved one in Hospice?
  • High Blood Pressure is an affliction that affects 1 in 3 Americans
  • Is Your Home Care Agency leaving money on the table?

If you would like to become a member of the Leading Home Care Network, just go to the group on LinkedIn and click on the Join button.  We’ll review your profile and approve your membership if you are an active employee of a home health agency, hospice, or private duty home care company, or if you are a Resource Partner of Leading Home Care.
