In another digital disruption of the home care marketplace, ClearCare, the market leader in home care scheduling and automation software, has announced that is has acquired HomeTrak, one of the oldest home care software companies.
I received a call from Geoff Nudd, the founder and CEO of ClearCare, letting me know of the acquisition and asking us to hold the announcement until today. ClearCare has been one of our Resource Partners in the Home Care CEO Forum for the past several years. Geoff told me that ClearCare plans to continuing supporting the HomeTrak system for their existing clients while combining the engineering and technology capabilities of the two companies. Joining Geoff on the call was Ed Chuang, the new Vice President of Marketing for ClearCare.
HomeTrak has been a significant player in the home care scheduling software sector for many many years. I first met Rick Morey, the founder and CEO, when I presented the opening keynote speech for the National Private Duty Association (now Home Care Association of America) at their first annual convention in Kansas City in 2002. Rick was a founding board member of NPDA/ HCAOA and a long time supporter of the association. Many of our clients and members of our Home Care Mastermind Groups are long-time loyal users of HomeTrak.
In our view point, this is an exciting new development in the technology and automation of private pay in-home care. Both ClearCare and HomeTrak have offered excellent products and services to our industry, and we have been honored to recommend both of these find products and companies to our clients, mastermind members, and customers.
Here is the official news release:
