It’s Mastermind Season at the Home Care CEO Forum

By Stephen Tweed

What would it be like to spend two days in a Home Care CEO Mastermind Group with twenty other leaders from similar sized, non-competing home care companies, talking about industry trends, growth strategies, and the things that are frustrating you?

Over the next 8 weeks, CEOs and COOs of over 40 home care companies will gather in four cities across the US to share ideas, solve problems, and support one another.  It’s Mastermind Season at the Home Care CEO Forum.

Introducing the Mastermind Concept to Home Care

In 2012, my wife Elizabeth Jeffries and I introduced the concept of the Mastermind to the home care industry with the formation of our Top 5% Mastermind Group.  The mastermind concept was made popular by Napolean Hill is his best selling book, Think and Grow Rich.  Elizabeth and I had experienced the Power of the Mastermind as we participated in several such groups with other professional speakers through our National Speakers Association.

The first Home Care CEO Mastermind Group met in February, 2013 in Orlando, Florida. The charter group of home care leaders was made up of five companies that generated $5 million or more in revenue.  Over the next several years, three of those original participants sold their companies, and two charter members are still in the group. Today, The Top 5% Mastermind consists of 13 companies that generate between $7 million and $25 million in annual revenue.

Fourth Home Care CEO Mastermind Group

This fall, the Fourth Home Care CEO Mastermind group was formed – our Top 7% Mastermind.  If you look at the benchmarking data in the Home Care Benchmarking Study from Home Care Pulse, you will see that companies at the 90th percentile in size by revenue generated $4,870,000.  This year, we are kicking off the Top 7% Group, which is now nine companies that generate between $5 million and $8 million in revenue.

Mastermind Season at the CEO Forum

Spring and Fall are Mastermind Season in home care.  Beginning this week, our four Home Care CEO Mastermind Groups will be meeting:

  • Strategic Growth Group – Nine companies between 1,500 hours per week and 3,000 hours per week, will meet in St. Louis, MO on October 7 – 9.
  • Top 10% Group – Nine companies between 3,000 hours per week and 6,000 hours per week, will meet in Seattle, WA on September 12 – 14.
  • Top 7% Group – Eight companies between 5,000 hours per week and 8,000 hours per week, will meet in Las Vegas, NV on November 10 & 11.
  • Top 5% Group – Twelve companies between 7,000 hours per week and 25,000 hours per week will meet in Baltimore, MD on September 20 & 21.

If you are an owner or leader in an independent private pay home care company that fits into one of these size groups, and you do not compete with another member of the group, you may want to consider joining a Home Care CEO Mastermind Group.  There’s no better way to develop the knowledge, skills, and strategic focus to scale your home care business.
