When was the last time your company name, your name, and your picture were in a prominent place in the local newspaper, and your local business journal?

At The Academy for Private Duty Home Care®, we are always looking for specific examples of home care companies who are doing amazing things to generate new referrals that turn into admissions.  This week we received an email from Bob Roth, Managing Partner at Cypress Home Care Solutions in Phoenix, AZ announcing that his company just received the Better Business Bureau Ethics Award.  Congratulations, Bob!

As a home care business owner or leader, there are two examples here of how you can get more publicity for your company.

1.  Apply for and earn awards and honors from local community groups
2.  Publicize those awards in the local media.

Here’s the text of Bob’s press release about the BBB Ethics Award:

It gives me great pleasure to inform you that our company Cypress HomeCare Solutions was recently honored with the 2013 Better Business Bureau (BBB) Business Ethics Award. This award recognizes businesses that exemplify the highest standard in ethical practices, and we are honored to be included as a top ethical organization in our state.

For me, this recognition not only belongs to Cypress, but also to our amazing caregivers and staff members who are doing the good work every day so that our clients may age in place at home, safely. These compassionate individuals show their hearts in everything they do, and we honor them and their hard work through this award.
Cypress also shares this recognition with our trade and the other home care agencies in our community that are making so many lives a little easier by enabling them to stay at home. As the first home care agency to receive this award in Central Arizona, we are humbled and see this as a culmination of the ethical practices many in our industry live by on a daily basis.
As we enter our 20th year, we continue to be blessed in the opportunity to serve our community. We are excited to share this award with you and we thank you for your continued support.
Sincerely,
Bob Roth

Here’s a short video that the BBB played at their awards ceremony:

What awards have you won recently?

What have you done to publicize these accomplishments?

This is all part of branding and public relations that are key elements of direct-to consumer marketing of private duty home care.
If you would like to learn more about how you can use local awards and recognition to gain visibility for your home care company, join us on Thursday, May 23, 2013 at 4:00 pm eastern time for the live web conference, “Grow Your Business with Branding and Direct to Consumer Marketing”.  Bob Roth will be our special guest, and you won’t want to miss what he has to say.

Then, if you like what you hear, we invite you to join us in Phoenix, AZ on June 12 and 13, 2013 for the next Private Duty Field Trip. Bob will welcome in to his business, Cypress Home Care Solutions for a full day of exploring what works and what doesn’t in growing a $3 million plus private duty home care business.

If you are serious about growing your business in 2013, you won’t want to miss these two exciting opportunities to learn from one of the real gurus in the home care industry.
